From April 17 to May 1, the ocean once again becomes our meeting point, at Fábrica da Cerveja, in Faro. Mar Motto is back with a theme that is essential for the future of the ocean: Marine Protected Areas.

This year, this year the festival also partnering with The Big Green project to expand the conversation and drive action in support of marine conservation.

About Mar Motto festival

Mar Motto takes place at a time when the ocean, as we know it, is at risk of changing drastically.

Species, ecosystems, and resources—once taken for granted—are gradually disappearing, transforming into other places, other deserts, other colors…

The festival thus emerges as a series of initiatives that explore and celebrate the ocean and promote its conservation. It takes a practical approach, centering on the creative fields of the arts, music, gastronomy, and science as a unifying and educational thread, using a language shared by all as a tool to positively foster engagement, learning, and discussion toward a more conscious and informed society.
