Remote Elements – some reflections on two calls in The Big Green

A conversation by Walden’s Fleur Koswee and Thomas Lamers reflecting on the methodology and learnings of the two open calls of Remote Elements: The Weight of Air (i) and (S)OIL (ii)

For the calls “The Weight of Air” and “(S)OIL” five artists or artist collectives from various European Union countries—Latvia, Portugal, Poland, Italy, and the Netherlands—were invited to create artworks related to the theme of “Air” and “Soil” within each artist’s local context. The calls were open to any artistic discipline.
